Soap & Glory Kick ass concealer

I've had this product for a while now and is pretty much all used up (thinking of doing a all used up video & post, what do you think?). I feel I've used this enough to warrent a review.

There are three parts to this products four if you count the mirror!, the powder at the top the mirror on the other side of the powder and the correcting concealer at the bottom next to the concealer. The packaging it felt a little flimsy at first and after the first few uses never actually closed again, then it proceeded to fall apart completly so if you looking for a concealer for your handbag avoid this!.

I really love this product the concealer has a great consistancy its very smooth and creamy and for the past few months I have reached for this over my benefit erase paste and boi-ing. The correction concealer works really well and is the perfect shade for my pale skin. The regular concealer is a touch too dark for me but put under my foundation works a treat. The powder is great too, is white translucent im no convinced this would work with every skin tone. You can tell the powder has been finely milled and is very smooth and silk like.

I will be repurchasing this, I could'nt imagin the higher end concealers to be much better.

It costs £10 and you can find it at Boots.

YSL shocking mascara.

When planning my wedding and deciding to do my own make-up second to getting a really good high end foundation was getting a high end mascara and after spending an hour in boots looking at all the high end counters I opted for the YSL Shocking mascara.

I wish I could say this was worth the £23 I paid for it but I honestly can't. The packaging is my favorite over all other mascara packaging, its not the packaging that counts though right.

So onto the product within, the scent for me is too heavy and powdery, I'm more use to scent free mascara, I'm not sure if that would be a problem for sensitive eyes, if you have sensitive eye try and get a sample or get the girl on the counter to try it on you before you buy. The wand looks and feels like your bog standard wand with bristle that you would get in a much cheaper mascara.

Overall i will not be purchasing this again, I do like the product but its not a LOVE and for £23 it is not worth the cash. I will be buying from my favorite mascara brand maybelline which I think are better than the YSL and cost around £7/8. After all the good things I was hearing about this mascara I am really disappointed with it and YSL have totally put me off high end Mascara!.

Lush ... Fun?

Now I'm a hugh Lush fan, but im not a Lush 'Collector'. I like to go and get what I want and when im all used up I go back and do it all again. So I have quite long periods where I don't go in store and I miss most of the new releases but tend to hear about them around the beauty community. Fun was the exeption I had not heard a single thing about it when i saw the play dough looking thing on the Lush checkout counter.

Fun is a 4 in 1 Body wash, Shampoo, Bubble bath and Hand wash for your clothes. It smells fantastic very simular to most of their candy themed products which personally I can't get enough of. It could so easily get mistaken for actual play dough, I'm sure you could have some great fun making models with the kids!.

I am yet to try this as a shampoo, bubble bath or a hand wash I have however tried it as a body wash. I wish this product foamed up more although you get a nice little lather, leaves you feeling clean and generally is a great body wash I fail to see how it will clean my thick and overly greasy hair or my husbands dirty socks. Also im doubtful to wether it will make bubbles for a bubble bath.

I am not going to write this one out just yet though because I do think it is a great novalty body wash and it really smells fantastic. I will give it a good go and try it in my hair.

Fun comes in about 4 other scents I believe but this was by far the my favourite.

It costs £5 for 200g.

Nail polish Collection 2012

Nail polish collection 2012

So after weeks and weeks of not being able to find the nail polish in my collection that i wanted because of the huge mess everything was in i decided today is the day I sort it out!.

I dug out all of my empty Glossybox boxes and began organising!.

Now all my nail polishes are boxed by color, as are my nail art pens. I'm thinking i need to find a better way to store the nail art pens as they are 3 layers deep and getting the the bottom layer isnt going to be the easiest task!. Any ideas on that one?.

Vivo Lipstick swatches.

Swatches from the Tesco Vivo lip stick range.

Barely there - Pink Pout - Sugar Pink

I must say these do smell a little like a cheap air freshener. Personally i don't mind that and you can't really grumble at the £1.50 price tag.

Ruby Woo - MAC & Dupe.

I finally got around to getting this lipstick ive been eyeing it up for a while and ive heard so much great stuff about it!.

Its a fantastic color and im very glad that i bought it. The matte finish is fantastic, doesnt dry out my lips and weres very well. This is the first MAC matte lipstick and im deffintly going to get checking out more of them!

If you are looking for a simular color but not a matte, Ruby Red by Collection (Previously Collection 2000) is a fantastic alternative. Also if you are wanting to make the collection lipstick matte you can easily pat a little bit of HD powder onto your lips with your finger, this will make your lipstick matte.

Whats your favourite Matte Lipstick?.

Best Glitter Nail Polish ... In the entire world! for £1.99!. - NOTD

Ok, so maybe not the entire world.. Well i havent tried every glitter nail polish in the world, nothing that i have tried has competed!.

This is at two days old!, No top coat.

If you havent already tried W7 glitter polishsthen i would recommend them!, I adore them although ive always thought of glitter polish to be more of a festive thing not all the neons and nudes in the world will keep me away from them this season.

The only bad thing i would say about this polish is that the brushes arent great, they are the bog standard brushes. Also the consistancy of some that i have bought have been too thin but after a little while they thicken out as the begin to 'dry' out. I love my really old ones that are all gluepy because its so easy to get this amazing coverage on your nails!, did i mention this is one yes ONE coat with a old polish!.

You can find these at your local budget cosmetics shop for around £1.99 our shop has a 3 for £5 offer on all of the time too.

Maybelline 24 hour color tattoos - Part II

After trying these and absolutely loving them i had to have all the colors! Especially while they are 3 for 2 in superdrug still!. There were 10 colors released in the US but here in the UK i can only find 6 of the 7 that were released here. In my previous post about these products I showed you, Eternal Gold, On and On Bronze and Endless Purple. My Favourite from them was Eternal Gold and i have to say that is still my favourite but I do love all of these colors!.

Immortal Charcoal

Turquoise Forever

Permanent Taupe

Turquoise Forever - Immortal Charcoal - Permanent Taupe

I hope that they do decide to bring the remaining colors to the UK.

I have read on many blogs that these are very simular if not the same of M.A.C Paint Pots which i personally have never tried but i may just have to take a trip to M.A.C and try them to compare.

Maybelline 24 Hour color tattoos!

Ive wanted to try these for what feels like a long time. There has been alot of hype around them since there release in the US. I didnt even know they had been released here in the UK yet!, so i was delighted to see them in my local superdrug and they were on offer 3 for 2!.

Endless Purple - Eternal Gold - On and on Bronze

Eternal Gold - Endless Purple - On and on Bronze

On and on Bronze - Endless Purple - Eternal Gold

I really like these and i wll be buying more especially while they are 3 for 2. They are not expensive either if you are thinking on the basis of using these as a eyeshadow base/primer. Im not sure if they would last a few 24 hours but im going to put it to the test.

Maybelline Dream nude Airfoam foundation!

I nearly didnt try this product because of all the negative posts about it, It was on offer in superdrug and decided to give it a go!.

I found the color match to be really good, im about a NC15/20 in mac so im quite pale and this is a great match. Im usially a Light porclain in Maybelline Dream satin liquid which is my go to foundation and has been for a long time now. If you are struggling to find your shade you can look at all the colors on there website - http://www.maybelline.co.uk/products/135/face/foundation/dream-nude-airfoam/light-beige/8?shadeId=908

Ive seen a few videos on youtube of people putting the foundation on and it not turning out right, most of those people were applying it wrong. If you follow the instructions on the can it works ok, its nothing groundbreaking but it works. I shaked the can and applied a bit on the back of my hand dapped my finger in it a tiny bit and applied it to my face in small circular motions. This does take longer than it would do to use a normal foundation so if you are stuck for time go with something else. For people with dry skin this is a complete no go! If you read my previous post about my dry skin once it had started to get better and no burning i put some of this on and it just clinges to all the dry and looks awful. It would be better for people with oily/normal skin.

Overall i liked this foundation but probibly wouldnt repurchase and im sure i will use it up in time.

Clearasil Perfecta Wash.

When i first saw this on some well known american youtube channels i couldnt wait to try it!.

It has an electronic senser pump dispenser which i think is a great consept!, I have the ones for hand soaps which i love.

It is easy to put together and simple to use, you also get the batterys with the pack which is always a bonus.

Now comes my honest review. At first i was very pleased with it. I fount the dispenser very convenient and the product smelt lovely!. I used it for 5 days and followed the instructions to a T, now is the bad part. It dried my skin out completely i have normal skin maybe a little oily around my nose at the end of a day but never ever dry. There was worse to come than a bit of dry skin! my face started to burn and it was a consistant burning sensation my skin started to peal and was very red, i couldnt even put a sensitive moisturiser on. I didnt get rid of any spots at all if anything it made them worse. I couldnt wear make-up anything that came incontact with my skin burnt! therefore i didnt leave the house for a week!.

I am currently waiting to hear from the Clearasil customer service, on reading the ingredients there is nothing that immediatly makes me think illergic reaction.

I would not recommend this product to anyone but if you have bought this product i recommend trying it out on a very small area of skin to avoid going through what i have been through.

You can get this in superdrug for £8.99

January 2012 Glossybox!

Hey guys,

Firstly i love the color of this months 'Valentines' Themed box!

I can say i was disappointed with this box, Yes the box was cute and im sure i will get a little use out of the stuff i got in it but i mean getting something from boots?? I mean that just goes against the whole idea of the box doesnt it?. Heres what i got.

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner - Full size £9.50

Orly mini Nail lacquer in Ruby - Full size £6.95 (18ml)

Weleda One step Cleanser & toner - Full size £9.95 (100ml)

First Aid Beauty (FAB) Gently body wash - Full size £13.00 (226.8ml) - From boots :/

Murad Hybrids Skin perfecting primer (Dewy finish) - Full size £29.00 (30ml)

The mini sweet was cute and tasty.

Not one of the best boxes. For me its not about the price of the products, its about trying things that i would not come across in places where i shop such as boots and superdrug. But having said that, this box is quite a cheap one, And i feel that the products (Apart from the Murad) are well within most peoples reach and something people can come across readily.

What did you get in you box?
